A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

The cyberpunk future isn't what we hoped it would be. Everything in your home is Pay-Per-Use™, and the value of money fluctuates wildly every second. So keep your spirits up, go to work, and spend your C-UbikCoin© wisely. You might make it through another week without starving, or losing it.

HOW TO PLAY

Switch on the light to start the day.

Click devices in your apartment to spend a dice trying to use it. 

Keep your hunger level satisfied with the food dispensing items.  Mood affects your productivity at work, keep that up for more dice after a work shift. 

Make it to the end of the week with a good mood.

Hold ESC for 5 seconds  to quit.

Originally all assets were created within 48 hours for the GMTK 2022 Game Jam.

Install instructions

Download, unzip, run.

Note for Mac users: currently Unity Engine have some issues while building project on MAC. We have tested it on our end and it works, but in case you encounter Problems here are possible solutions:
1) In case the application does no want to open on Mac because of "unrecognised Publisher" just right click on it, and select "Open".
2)In case the application is not running and prompts "application is damaged" on MAC you can perform folowiing actions:

  1. open terminal (ITerm)
  2. type but do not press "enter" yet : "sudo chmod -R 777"
  3. click and drag the Dicetopian.app to terminal (it pastes its path)
  4. click "enter" (it could ask your password)
  5. type: "cd " and drag&drop the Dicetopian.app (to copy path).
  6. press "enter"
  7. type "cd ../"
  8. type "xattr -rc Dicetopian.app".
  9. press "Enter" 
    Now the Application should work!

All right! Took a while but I survived for a week in the dystopian nightmare. I really felt the daily grind of trying to survive, literally, to the point where I was measuring if I had enough food to not die at work or in my sleep, or enough money to open the door. Wonderful game that was both enjoyable in a competitive way as well as thoughtful in a philosophical way. I'm also a fan of Philip K. Dick so it was great all around. Thanks for creating :)
